Our iconic Magic Mirror material comes in many dif Our iconic Magic Mirror material comes in many different forms, on various supports and is as adaptable as your imagination itself. A dichroic material made of over one hundred superposed micro-layers, with different refractive indices, that separate the light in many different directions at once: perplexing the eye and troubling your senses, adding colour where there was none and separating tones. It is capable of being transparent, invisible, saturated, hyper-visible, intense and eye-catching all at the same time. Shown here is our Magic Mirror TPU, one of the thickest of the translucent Magic Mirror iterations; comprising the lightweight film sandwiched in between two layers of transparent PU making it more durable. For April's MOTM we presented three variations of the same material with our Arctic Trio! Three beautiful translucent options, all composed of 100% PVC - making them fully recyclable - with varied aspects, and a soft surface touch. They are all available in sheet format - 145 cm x 65 cm - with a standard supple, translucent, thickness of 0,2 mm. They can all be made to order in thicknesses up to a rigid 6,3 mm, using a variety of substrate laminates. Using over 650,000 Lego bricks, the iconic image is reproduced with the addition of a mysterious doorway, which respresents: "...the door to the underground dugout in Xinjiang province where he and his father, Ai Qing, lived in exile in the 1960s." Our in-house creative team chooses a featured Mate Our in-house creative team chooses a featured Material Of The Month each month. March's MOTM was Lack-Luminium - a brand new edition to our growing Luminium family, composed of our glossy Vernis laminated onto lightweight aluminium support – it is easily malleable and formable by hand and holds its shape without tooling. The surface coating of Vernis is composed of 100% PVC whilst the support is 100% aluminium. The version shown here has a white gloss finish; it reflects the light beautifully once formed, though Lack-Luminium is also available in a Matt finish. With a generous width and large roll format, it is easy to integrate into 3-Dimensional projects. Lack-Luminium is available in roll format, with a width of 130 cm and a thickness of only 0,40 mm. The surface is certified M2 non-flammable though the support is M1. It is also possible to produce Lack-Luminium in M1 with a slightly reduced colour card – M2 is available in forty colours, and M1 is available in thirty-seven colours: notably minus the metallics.
