Fever is a smooth thermo-sensitive leather alternative composed of 55% Polyurethane and 45% Polyester. The thermochromic colour-changing reaction is facilitated by the application of a fine coating to the material’s surface.
The surface coating changes colour when heated, becoming transparent to reveal the secondary colour underneath, and when cooled, it returns to its original coating colour. What makes the transformation magic, is that this change is reversible. For the transformation to take place it takes about 5ºF (3ºC) temperature change to the surface.
Fever is available in 4 colour-changing colours, in roll format, with a width of 140 cm and a thickness of approximately 0,80 mm. The sample version is in black but, once activated, it becomes pink.
Fever is applicable for all types of fashion, accessories, visual merchandising, POS, packaging, upholstery and interior applications.
