MATERIAL OF THE MONTH

Andy

Andy is an undulating soft silver textile, composed of silver metallic polyester laminated onto a woven polyester backing.

The backing is a short pile of woven polyester fur, which gives the surface an undulating aspect once the silver reflective surface is laminated onto it. Its surface reflects the light, like ripples on a watery surface and resembles the bark ridges of a tree trunk at twilight. Andy is given its name based on the silver surfaces of Andy Warhol’s factory, the iconic meeting place for avant-garde artists in New York in the ‘60s and ’70s. It can be cut and sewn easily, making it ideal for fashion, window backdrops, photoshoots, or light upholstery.

Andy is sold on the roll, with a width of 140 cm, and is available in 4 colours with a weight of 448 gr/m2.

Andy is easy to manipulate and perfect for all types of reflective, luminous applications.
