    Nous sommes heureux de collaborer avec Francine Meerveld à l’occasion de la Dutch Design Week 2022 - le plus grand salon annuel du design en Europe du Nord - pour son installation immersive : De Trip. Francine est architecte d'intérieur et fondatrice de l'agence FELD.   "Tout le travail de FELD repose sur la conviction que l’on se sent mieux dans des espaces bien conçus. Dotés d’un véritable intérêt pour autrui et son bien-être, nous nous efforçons d'obtenir des résultats qui soient édifiants et inspirants. Notre bureau se caractérise par sa capacité d'écoute. Le contexte est essentiel. Notre force est de voir plus loin, de chercher en profondeur. De cette façon, nous offrons des perspectives innovantes et une créativité spatiale. L'objectif est de mettre en synergie les personnes, l'architecture et l'histoire (de la marque)." Site web de FELD.
 
Lorsque Francine nous a contactés et nous a exposé son concept et sa philosophie de travail, nous avons rapidement compris qu'elle serait une partenaire idéale pour nous. Son approche des matériaux, du design et de la narration correspondait parfaitement à la nôtre. Conformément à nos engagements permanents en matière de durabilité et d'innovation, nous soutenons son projet avec des déchets de matériaux provenant de certaines de nos références les plus emblématiques, notamment Magic Mirror, Tinted PVC, et Creafoam.
Francine a voulu aller au cœur de son processus, et aborder l'installation pour la Dutch Design Week d'un point de vue expérientiel :  

"Je trouve qu'il est important de continuer à réfléchir à mon travail et à mes objectifs. Si FELD part du principe que les gens se sentent mieux dans des espaces bien conçus, que se passerait-il si nous oublions la fonctionnalité et travaillons sur un projet où cette conviction serait le point de départ et l'objectif unique ? Créer un espace qui ne vise que le sentiment, l'être et l'expérience ? Cette pensée est développée dans un projet et un espace réels.”

 

Dans cette période trouble, De Trip offre une petite évasion immatérielle, une expérience inspirante dans une autre dimension. Il n'est pas nécessaire d'aller loin pour faire un voyage intérieur.

Nous ne sommes pas le seul collaborateur de Francine pour De Trip, son projet est né d'un désir de collaboration et d'expansion, pour offrir une expérience pleinement sensorielle :   "De Trip s'est transformé en une expérience immersive grâce à plusieurs grandes collaborations. La conception de la lumière est développée en partenariat avec Paul Cremers de spacelab.lighting. Marlon van der Pas de _blank ajoute à l'installation son talent de concepteur sonore. Lingua Planta trouve les meilleurs aromates afin de garantir un produit de haute qualité et respectueux de la terre. Les textiles narratifs proviennent de Siersema et les matériaux durables innovants sont offerts par American Supply Paris."   Nous sommes impatients de vivre la magie de De Trip avec vous, et nous espérons vous retrouver ce mois-ci à Eindhoven pour la Dutch Design Week !

an immersive experience at Dutch Design Week by Francine Meerveld

    We are delighted to collaborate with Francine Meerveld, during Dutch Design Week 2022 - Northern Europe's biggest annual design fair - on her immersive installation: De Trip. Francine is an interior architect and the founder of the FELD agency:   "FELD works from the belief that people feel better in well-designed spaces. With a genuine interest in people and their well-being, we strive for end results that are uplifting and inspiring. Our office is characterized by being a good listener. Context is key. Our strength is to look further, to seek depth. In this way, we offer innovative insights and spatial creativity. The aim is to bring people, architecture and the (brand) story together in synergy." When Francine contacted us and explained her concept and work ethos, we quickly realised that she would be a perfect partner for us. Her approach to materials, design and dedication to storytelling was perfectly in line with ours. In line with our ongoing commitments to sustainability and innovation, we are supporting her project with material waste from some of our most iconic references, including Magic Mirror, Tinted PVC, and Creafoam.
Francine wanted to go to the core of her process, and approach the installation for Dutch Design Week from an experiential standpoint:  

"I find it important to keep reflecting on my work and goals. If FELD works from the principle that people feel better in well-designed spaces, what would happen if we forget about functionality and work on a project where this belief is the starting point and singular goal? Creating a space that solely targets feeling, being and experiencing? This thought is developed into an actual project and space.”

 

In turbulent times, De Trip gives a small immaterial escape, an inspiring experience into a different dimension. We don’t have to go far to go on an inner journey.

We are not Francine’s sole collaborator for De Trip, her project was born out of a desire to collaborate and expand, to offer a fully sensorial experience:   "De Trip has evolved into an immersive experience thanks to several great collaborations. The light design is developed in partnership with Paul Cremers of spacelab.lighting. Marlon van der Pas of _blank adds to the installation with his talent for sound design. Lingua Planta finds the finest aromatics to ensure a high-quality product that is also friendly to the earth. Narrative textiles come from Siersema and innovative sustainable materials are donated by American Supply Paris."   We are excited to experience the magic of De Trip with you, and hope you can make it to Eindhoven for the 2022 Dutch Design Week !
